At the heart of every community lies a web of relationships—connections that shape our experiences, our well-being, and our sense of safety. Yet, for some, these relationships can become fraught with challenges, leading to potentially unhealthy or abusive relationships. In the face of such issues, organizations like The Retreat seek to understand, educate, and provide support to prevent abuse and promote respect in all relationships.

The Retreat is embarking on a journey hand-in-hand with the East Hampton community. With a commitment to understanding the pulse of our community, The Retreat has launched a comprehensive needs assessment survey. This bi-lingual survey aims to tackle three crucial goals:

  • Understanding Challenges in Youth Relationships: Adolescence is a time of profound growth and exploration, but it can also be a period marked by complex relationship dynamics. By delving into the challenges that our youth face in their relationships, we can better equip ourselves to provide tailored support and intervention where needed.
  • Building Awareness on Relationship Health: Awareness is the cornerstone of prevention. Through this survey, The Retreat seeks to uncover strategies for amplifying awareness about relationship health. By shining a light on healthy relationship behaviors, we can empower individuals to recognize, navigate, and foster positive connections in their lives.
  • Increasing Access to Support Services: Access to support services is essential for those navigating experiences of abuse. By identifying barriers and gaps in accessibility, The Retreat hopes to pave the way for enhanced support networks within our community. Every individual deserves access to the resources and assistance they need to reclaim their sense of safety and well-being.

About 5-10 minutes long, the survey allows participants a chance to lend their voices to this critical conversation. All responses are anonymous, with no personally identifying information being collected. Every insight shared is a valuable piece of the puzzle, guiding The Retreat in its mission to serve our community effectively.

We extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who takes the time to participate. Your contribution is a commitment to building a community where safety, respect, and support are fundamental values. For those in need of immediate support, resources are readily available by contacting The Retreat’s hotline at 631-329-2200.

Together, let us embark on this journey of understanding, compassion, and action. Your voice matters—let’s make it heard. Help us spread the word! Please download and share our Flyer.

In solidarity,
The Retreat Team
