What’s It Like to Call The Retreat Hotline?

Many of our current and former clients have told us that calling us was the first and most difficult step they took.  We understand how difficult it is to share your experience, but we want you to know all the information you share is confidential. We are here to listen with empathy and without judgment.

Our number one priority is your safety and the safety of your children. When you call, the first thing we will do is ensure that you are safe at the moment. Then we will listen to what you want to share with us. You are the person that decides what you are comfortable telling us.

Everyone needs emotional support. Sometimes having a stranger be that support is easier than asking a family member or close friend. You may not be ready to share with them or you don’t want them to become involved. With The Retreat, you will find connection and support.

During our conversation, we will identify the support you need. We may refer you to services within our agency, all of which are free and confidential, to other agencies that would be better able to assist you, or a combination of the two.

The journey to becoming free from abuse may not be an easy one, but with our support, you won’t have to do it alone.

The Retreat’s 24-hour hotline is available to everyone. 631-329-2200. Call if you have questions, want to talk about your own relationship, the possibility of an abusive relationship of someone you know, or you want to enroll in one of our services. Every call is confidential.
