The Retreat’s Teen Leadership Council (TLC) is a community service program that trains and supports high school students to become ambassadors and advocates who work together to help prevent abuse and promote respect in all relationships throughout our community. Topics include identifying red flags, setting and respecting boundaries, getting and giving support, and digital abuse prevention.

Teen Leaders commit to an intensive training and leadership development program, with weekly after-school training sessions and special events. Students create and implement special projects (workshop, media outreach, event, video, fundraiser, survey, etc.)  And participants can earn 10-20 community service credit hours upon successful completion of each session of the program. Additional community service hours are awarded for extended independent projects and participation in additional sessions.
