During Domestic Violence Awareness Month, The Retreat is taking the opportunity to share information on available services and empower our community to help those who are experiencing violence in their lives.
Domestic abuse has long been an unspoken epidemic. For those suffering abuse in their homes, the restrictions needed during the COVID-19 pandemic has put them in greater isolation and more danger than ever. You can help them.
We have had dozens of individuals join us in sharing their support of those who are currently living with domestic abuse and those who have survived abuse. Our on Instagram and Facebook feeds are full of images of people who are asking to #HearMyVoice.
We invite you to add your voice to the discussion.
*Follow us @AllAgainstAbuse on Instagram and Facebook.
*Post your photo and why you are a supporter using #HearMyVoice and tagging @AllAgainstAbuse.
*When you see posts, either ours or others, that support survivors, re-post and comment.
*Share The Retreat’s social media pages and website. Statistics show that someone you know is in an abusive relationship even if you don’t know. Help them get support.
*Make a donation to The Retreat
When you contribute to The Retreat, you are connecting survivors to community resources, helping a survivor remotely file for an order of protection against their abuser, giving the opportunity to receive supportive counseling, and providing emergency shelter to families.
Your support helps bring a family one step closer to an abuse-free life.
