La gala anual \u00abAll Against Abuse\u00bb de The Retreat reuni\u00f3 a m\u00e1s de 200 simpatizantes, l\u00edderes comunitarios y activistas en una velada con entradas agotadas el s\u00e1bado 6 de junio en el Southampton Arts Center, en apoyo a esta organizaci\u00f3n sin fines de lucro con sede en East Hampton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Los asistentes recaudaron m\u00e1s de $1 mill\u00f3n, la cifra m\u00e1s alta en la historia del evento, para mantener los servicios de The Retreat destinados a sobrevivientes de violencia dom\u00e9stica, agresi\u00f3n sexual y trata de personas, entre los que se incluyen una l\u00ednea de ayuda multiling\u00fce disponible las 24 horas, un refugio de emergencia, asesoramiento psicol\u00f3gico, apoyo legal, educaci\u00f3n para la prevenci\u00f3n y capacitaci\u00f3n sobre la paternidad. \u201cNuestro objetivo es claro\u201d, dijo Carbonaro. \u201cPero, \u00bfc\u00f3mo hablamos de posibilidades en este momento?\u2026 Salir de una relaci\u00f3n abusiva nunca ha sido f\u00e1cil, pero ahora mismo, para muchas personas, parece econ\u00f3micamente imposible\u201d.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Carbonaro destac\u00f3 la importancia del apoyo de los donantes. \u201cLa esperanza no es ingenuidad. No es mirar hacia otro lado.
