ALBANY - El estado ha a\u00f1adido $100 millones para ampliar un programa que ayuda a las v\u00edctimas de delitos y sus familias, incluidos los ni\u00f1os de Long Island que sobrevivieron a un incidente mortal de violencia dom\u00e9stica el a\u00f1o pasado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Las subvenciones incluyen $665.234 para los servicios del Centro de V\u00edctimas del Crimen en el condado de Nassau y $690.983 para su funcionamiento en el condado de Suffolk. Parte de los fondos se destinar\u00e1n a Safe Center LI, que atend\u00eda a los supervivientes de violencia dom\u00e9stica, agresi\u00f3n sexual y abuso infantil del condado de Nassau, pero que se ha enfrentado a graves problemas financieros. La senadora estatal Julia Salazar (D-Brooklyn), presidenta del Comit\u00e9 del Senado sobre V\u00edctimas de Delitos, Delincuencia y Correcci\u00f3n, es una de las firmes defensoras de la financiaci\u00f3n de los servicios para v\u00edctimas en la Legislatura.
