Me sent\u00ed desolada y con el coraz\u00f3n roto cuando me di cuenta de que mi hija escuchaba los abusos todo el tiempo. Me doli\u00f3 mucho por ella. O\u00eda las obscenidades, ve\u00eda el dolor en mis ojos. Vio a su madre destrozada. Como madre, me dol\u00eda que mi hija tuviera miedo. Hab\u00edamos caminado sobre c\u00e1scaras de huevo durante mucho tiempo. A los seis a\u00f1os, mi ni\u00f1a era m\u00e1s fuerte y valiente que yo. Muchas veces, cuando los gritos cesaban, me cog\u00eda de la mano. Mientras me cog\u00eda de la mano me dec\u00eda: \"T\u00fa no eres esos malos nombres que te ha puesto, v\u00e1monos\". Fui la madre que hizo magdalenas para la fiesta de la clase. Yo era la mujer que sonre\u00eda y te saludaba en el supermercado. Yo era esa mujer que viv\u00eda al lado de tu casa. Fui esa mujer a la que llamaron a la polic\u00eda a su casa m\u00e1s de una vez. Fui esa mujer que ten\u00eda miedo de hablar. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No me averg\u00fcenzo de mi pasado. Hoy estoy con la cabeza bien alta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La violencia dom\u00e9stica puede llegar al hogar de cualquiera. Hombre o mujer. Rico o pobre. No discrimina.
