Family Assistance Consulting Counselor (part-time)

Job Summary

This position provides child and teen victims of domestic violence with supportive counseling, as well as the non-abusing parent victims of domestic violence with supportive family counseling. The counselor will provide crisis intervention and education regarding the dynamics of domestic violence and sexual assault.

Responsibilities

  • Provide victims of family violence and sexual assault with individual and family counseling
  • Maintain accurate statistics and records of services
  • Flexible hours, minimum of 8 hours per week
  • Provide individual and family counseling sessions for adults and children who have witnessed or experienced family violence
  • Utilize evidence-based therapy practices for counseling sessions with both children and non-abusing parents
  • Provide both telehealth and in-person services

Qualifications

  • Master of Social Work, Mental Health Counseling
  • Clinical License (LCSW, LMHC) required
  • Must provide proof of liability insurance
  • Must have efficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Drive, and Zoom as well as experience documenting in an electronic record system
  • Prior internship or prior clinical work in TF-CBT, play therapy, and motivational interview
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with family systems theory
  • Understanding of family violence and sexual assault issues
  • Fingerprint clearance
  • Ability to work as a supportive team member

    This is a short-term 1099 consultant position (until funds run out). Pay is $40-$50.00 an hour. Some evenings are required to accommodate the child and teen schedules for counseling services.

Education
Master of Social Work, Mental Health Counseling. License required.
